Fall 2025 was eventful for the ITLS lab. In addition to conference presentations, two of our lab members reached major academic milestones.

Anna successfully proposed her thesis: Exploring Indicating Response Topography as a Measure of the Establishing Operation.

Her work aims to develop a translational assessment to help scientist-practitioners better understand the behavioral correlates of establishing operations. By examining how indicating response topography may function as a measurable index of an EO, Anna’s research has the potential to inform when and how mand training should be most effectively implemented in clinical practice.

Bianca presented the final results of her McNair Scholar’s undergraduate thesis, Caregiver Perceptions of Cultural Responsiveness in ABA Services. Bianca’s project extends the lab’s qualitative research line and highlights caregiver perspectives on culturally responsive practice. Her findings offer valuable insight into how scientist-practitioners can better align ABA services with the values and needs of the families they serve.

The ITLS lab is incredibly proud of Anna and Bianca. We look forward to what the next phase of their work will bring.
